Jean Robison
Special opening night – We will be opening on Saturday, Nov. 10, to be part of the Northeast Los Angeles Artwalk (NELA).

Me & You Variety Candy is proud to present photographic works by Los Angeles-based artists Jean Robison and Max Warsh.

Jean Robison examines common objects, movie clips and national icons through video, animation and photography. Often applying the fixed gaze of the camera as a tool for visual scrutiny, Robison offers new relationships to commonly perceived themes. Robison received her MFA from California State University, Long Beach. She has recently shown at Galerie Califia, Horaždovice in the Czech Republic and Angel's Gate Cultural Center in San Pedro.

Max Warsh's work explores the relationships between the materials of architecture and the perception of architecture. His work utilizes photography and video to investigate the acts of building, living, walking, and dying. The construction and surface of the photograph or video is looked at with the same scrutiny as that of the built environment resulting in images that question their surroundings and reposition themselves against the nature of time. He received his MFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Jean Robison & Max Warsh
Show runs from Nov. 10 – Dec. 3, 2007
